I am having the same problem as Matt. The window pops up with read_mailbox warning.

No notifications are being pushed at all.

Tommy, can you email me the crashlog.txt file in the program folder? Also, do you know if you have the latest release of the 3.5 .Net Framework?

Cool! I just got my first notification this morning. It was a follow-up comment on a post that I had commented on earlier. So, Growlbook is working for me now. I had expected to get a lot more alerts though, since I have enabled it for all notifications. Does it support sending notifications for new items in the “News Feed”, i.e. friends’ status updates and other new posts, similar to what the Facebook Toolbar does in Firefox? I thought that’s what the included support for notifications of “New stream posts” meant, but I do not seem to be getting these.

Regarding the issues mentions above i did the fix you suggested by opening internet explorer. This did indeed work and you then give it permission on Facebook. now the next time you open it you get a diff error.

This time it locks up on “This application cannot ask you for permission read_mailbox

The new installer works great, thanks. After I login now, I get a large popup window that says:

You must be logged in to Facebook to use this feature.

When I click okay, it changes to a blank white window that says “Success.” I am unable to dismiss or hide this window, unless I exit out of Growlbook completely.

After a while, the systray icon will change to show a number indicating how many messages I have in my inbox, however I still do not seem to get any notifications in Growl.

Alan, I threw up a new installer, give that one a whirl. I also uploaded a zipped package as well if it fails (but I don’t think it will).
